As a twelfth-generation American with a pioneering heritage, I am proud to say that this entrepreneurial spirit continues today at my family's winery. Working side-by-side with my family and many exceptional winemakers, we continue to seek those special hillside and mountain vineyards that will product flavorful wines. At each of our vineyards, our goal is the same--to work with the land to produce the highest quality of wines. We take advantage of the cool air influences from the nearby Pacific Ocean as well as the rocky soil that retains the heat. These climatic influences combined with steep vineyards situated on mountains, hillsides and benchlands provide the ideal environment for Cabernet Sauvignon to thrive. My winemaking team uses a combination of French and American oak to add different spice nuances to this wine.
