These sweet-heat crescent brie bites combine melty brie, Tabasco® jalapeño pepper jelly, bacon, and pecans for an easy Louisiana-inspired appetizer perfect for entertaining or the holidays. Makes 24 bite-sized appetizers.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
- Lightly cook the bacon either in a skillet or in the microwave between two pieces of paper towel. (Don’t overcook, as you will be baking the bacon as well.)
- Roll out the crescent dough on parchment paper. (If using the roll dough, you’ll need to pinch the seams together.) Cut into 24 squares with a pizza cutter. Place squares into the muffin tin openings.
- Cut the brie into 24 chunks small enough to fit into each piece of dough, and place them inside the crescent dough.
- Top each piece of cheese / dough with 1/2 teaspoon each of Tabasco Jalapeño Pepper Jelly and 1/2 teaspoon chopped pecans.
- Tuck a piece (or two) of cooked bacon on top of each bite.
- Bake until about 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Optionally, drizzle with hot honey before serving warm.
